Over the gunwale
of the wooden boat,
red swan contemplates
her reflection in black
tile water, a wild
party in her gondola,
ikebana garden libertine,
ravening trumpets,
fronds spindled
striped and whorl
long-necked micro-leaf
fish tail in the museum night.

of eyes shouldering.
