Grace Gallaher Fitzpatrick taught high school literature in New Orleans for a few years before moving to the Ouachitas with her poet–farmer husband, precocious daughter, and jolly baby boy. Grace paints to find the “-ness” of a thing. This piece is her first published artwork.
